Rows was an AI-native spreadsheet designed to make business data easier to import, transform, analyse and share. Its strongest idea was not simply adding a chatbot beside a grid: AI could work directly with spreadsheet structures, formulas, tables, charts and connected data. Rows also built integrations and publishing features that made it particularly relevant to operators, growth teams and analysts who wanted more automation than a conventional spreadsheet provided. In February 2026, Rows announced that it was joining Superhuman and that the standalone Rows product would be wound down.
Source coverage: standard. Reviewed 10–12 sources. Using the 5 strongest. Historically, Rows had a credible product case: native AI analysis, connected business data, formula assistance, charts, multi-table work and advanced analysis gave it more purpose-built AI depth than a simple spreadsheet copilot. Independent user coverage also praised its automation, integrations and interface, while noting onboarding friction for people accustomed to Excel or Google Sheets. That historical capability no longer translates into present-day utility. Rows stated that Rows.com would fully wind down on May 31, 2026, and Superhuman confirmed the acquisition strategy was to bring the team’s data expertise into its broader productivity platform. As of this review, the standalone Rows product should therefore be treated as discontinued rather than as an active tool to adopt. The zero scores reflect current availability, not the quality of the product before shutdown.
